there is nothing like starting a beautiful Easter weekend with blueberry waffles and decorating to attract the infamous Easter bunny to hide eggs a day early. i found these adorable signs last minute at Target to designate where the Easter bunny was to hide the eggs and pulled out lanterns i used for devon’s last birthday party to add to the festivities. the night before, i took the girls to Lowe’s so i can put my moss terrariums together for the centerpieces. everything else came together with the help of family and friends who were invited to celebrate. stained glass egg cookies and s’mores peeps to take home were some of the finishing touches to complete our wonderful little luncheon.
after lunch and a finger painting craft, we found that our decorations worked! the Easter bunny hid all of the eggs…most of them bright colored, while some silver and one gold! all the kids had a great time and walked away with baskets full of eggs. and to top it off, there was even a little ice cream cake to celebrate my birthday. there is definitely nothing more special than to celebrate Easter and your birthday in the same weekend surrounded and thought of by the people you love most.
the last 3 photos in the slideshow were graciously taken by jeannette liu of trailbrook photography. so glad she and her hubby, stan, were there to celebrate with me and our family!
